Invisible Value

When “experts” research the value of a building, neighborhood, square or other location, it is usually done through cultural-historical research. This ‘objective’ approach weighs all historical functions and values, out of necessity, one period or story, or the location is deemed not valuable. As a result, many voices are not heard; although locations have personal meanings to the residents, users or visitors.

These personal histories is what we as Locus Focus want to tell. Alongside the physical, built environment we provide a parallel world of sound. In this world stories are told and visions on locations are shared by artists through modern electrionical compositions. These pieces can be regarded as

“Soundtracks for the City”

For every city we choose three local artists per series to represent locations.
